Devoted to Dance Podcast: Script Writer & Anchor

Devoted to Dance is a culmination of my love for Indian Classical Dance and my desire to share this joy with a wider audience. I have touched upon some traditional nuances of an art form that evokes connectivity through the universality of dance. Each episode delves into a different aspect of this versatile art form. I also scripted and produced an episode detailing the same for the New York Times Podcast Competition.

  • Episode 1: The Dancer Within You: introduces the origins of Indian classical dance and its devotional roots in Bhakti.
  • Episode 2: My Rhythm of Life: explores how forms like Bharatanatyam, Odissi, and Kathak mirror the elements of nature.
  • Episode 3: Ghungroo Beats: journeys through India’s eight classical dances, tracing their regional identities and aesthetics.
  • Episode 4: The Beat in my Feet: reflects on my own dance journey, from childhood lessons to rediscovering joy after lockdown.
  • Episode 5: Dancing Through Life: examines the dialogue between classical and contemporary forms and how dance remains a timeless act of human connection.

Available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, the series has garnered over 500 streams and celebrates dance as a bridge between tradition, creativity, and modern expression.
