What does leadership mean to me?

To me, leadership isn’t about standing ahead of others, but standing beside them. It begins in listening, to perspectives that differ and to ideas that challenge. My own journey, from serving as Head Girl in Junior School, to leading the Senior Council today, has taught me that leadership is not a position but a responsibility: to create spaces where people feel seen, valued, and capable of more than they imagine. It’s about reading a room, making decisions in moments that rarely go as planned, and finding calm in the unpredictable. It’s knowing when to guide and when to step aside, and learning that strength often lies in quiet consistency rather than constant control. Leadership, to me, is an ongoing practice of learning, of holding both vision and vulnerability, so that growth becomes shared and change becomes lasting.

Head Girl ~ Student CouncilThe Shri Ram School Moulsari

As the only student from my school selected for the global HundrED Youth Ambassador Program, I engaged with changemakers across continents to explore how leadership, innovation, and education intersect to drive systemic transformation. Through collaborative workshops and cross-cultural dialogues, I examined how empathy, data-informed decision-making, and community-driven leadership can advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Working on design challenges pushed me to think critically about equity in education and the psychology of collective action—how shared purpose can inspire sustainable social impact. These interactions refined my global outlook, communication skills, and ability to navigate diverse perspectives. More than a leadership program, this experience became a laboratory for systems thinking, reinforcing my commitment to lead initiatives that bridge behavioural insight and educational innovation to create lasting change.

Secretary of Activities ~ Student CouncilThe Shri Ram School Moulsari

As Secretary of Activities, I coordinated the planning and execution of over 20 inter and intra school events that celebrated creativity and school spirit. Working closely with faculty and student departments, I streamlined logistics, promoted participation across grades, and ensured that every event reflected our core values of integrity, sensitivity, pursuit of excellence and pride in one's own heritage. The role strengthened my ability to manage teams, anticipate challenges, and transform ideas into experiences that built lasting community engagement.

Form Representative ~ ParyavaranThe Shri Ram School Moulsari

As Form Representative of the Paryavaran Club and a member of the Round Square Food Waste Warrior Core Team, I’ve learned how collective responsibility begins with awareness. Whether campaigning to protect the Aravali biodiversity park or leading sessions on food conservation for students and support staff, I discovered how small acts can shape positive change. These experiences taught me to think systemically, that sustainability isn’t just about policy, but participation. They deepened my belief that leadership in any form begins with sensitivity towards the world we share.

Youth Ambassador

As the only student from my school selected for the Global HundrED Youth Ambassador Program, I engaged with changemakers across continents to explore how leadership, innovation, and education intersect to drive systemic development. Through collaborative workshops and cross-cultural dialogues, I examined how data-informed decision-making can advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals. From learning how to take intentional steps as a leader driven by purpose rather than perfection, to gaining practical strategies for scaling my social project; from exploring education as a powerful tool for equity, to understanding the importance of leading with empathy, these sessions have equipped me with the mindset, skills, and perspective needed to lead meaningful change in my own way.

Young Leaders for Active Citizenship

Selected as one of thirty students nationwide, I participated in the High School Achievers Program by Young Leaders for Active Citizenship to deepen my understanding of governance, policy, and advocacy. Through interactive sessions with social entrepreneurs and policymakers, I explored how leadership and civic participation can shape equitable education systems and strengthen democratic engagement. Collaborating with peers, I analyzed case studies, proposed actionable solutions to bridge policy gaps, and learned to communicate data-backed perspectives on social reform. The experience reinforced my commitment to combining social innovation and behavioural insight to design inclusive education policies, anchoring my long-term goal of leading initiatives that empower young citizens to participate meaningfully in shaping public systems.

Leadership Summit

Representing my school as Head Girl at Lead On! 2025 allowed me to engage with student leaders and eminent speakers from around the nation. Through interactive discussions and problem-solving sessions, I gained insight into decision-making, collaboration, and the practical nuances of leading under pressure.

Head Delegate, Model United Nations

Having participated in 10+ Model United Nations conferences at the state and national level, I’ve been facilitated with multiple Best Delegate, High Commendation, and Special Mention awards. MUN has strengthened my ability to think critically under pressure, navigate complex global issues with diplomacy and engage meaningfully with diverse perspectives.
